Who Is Your Financial Planner?
Gord Hunte has been involved in the financial services industry since 1992. His many life experiences, both work related as well as education have equipped him to better understand his clients, build lasting relationships and relate to life with all it's complexities.
After graduating high school Gord pursued his technical interests, completing two apprenticeships acquiring certification as a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic and Motor Mechanic. Working in the industry Gord furthered his training by achieving the status of General Motors Master Technician, one of only three hundred in Canada at that time.
Enjoying the experiences of training apprentices and work experience students, Gord continued expanding his horizons by attending the University of Alberta, where he received a Bachelor of Education Degree. Gord used this degree to teach vocational education in Calgary area high schools.
Being in business since the age of thirteen in a variety of enterprises and gaining investment experience starting at the age of eighteen, Gord's entrepreneurial spirit was alive and well. When approached to consider the field of financial planning as a career choice Gord jumped at the opportunity. This was an arena where he could bring all his experiences of troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, teaching, coaching, planning and strategizing and make a positive difference in his clients lives by helping them Achieve Financial Freedom.
Gord's thirst for education has never stopped. He has gone on to achieve the professional designations of Chartered Financial Planner, Certified Financial Planner, and Elder Planning Counselor.
